Event Rules

Last updated: September 9, 2026

These Event Rules govern events created, posted, promoted, hosted, managed, discovered, joined, or attended through AfterDarkSociety.com, the AfterDark Society mobile applications, and any related websites, applications, communities, messaging tools, features, and services that link to these Event Rules. In these Event Rules, we refer to those services collectively as the “Platform.”

The Platform is operated by After Dark Society, LLC (“After Dark Society,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

The Platform may allow users to create, list, promote, discover, RSVP to, join, discuss, or attend events. Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, events listed on the Platform are created, hosted, organized, controlled, and operated by users or third parties, not by After Dark Society.

These Event Rules are part of our Terms of Service and apply in addition to our Community Guidelines, Safety Center, Takedown and Appeals Policy, Nonconsensual Intimate Content Policy, Child Safety Standards, Anti-Trafficking and Exploitation Policy, Privacy Policy, Subscription, Billing, Cancellation, and Refund Policy, and other applicable Platform policies.

1. Adult-Only Events

The Platform is for adults only.

You must not create, promote, host, join, RSVP to, attend, or invite another person to an event through the Platform unless you and that person are at least 18 years old and legally permitted to participate.

Event hosts must not allow minors to attend Platform-related events.

Event listings, descriptions, images, groups, messages, comments, and invitations must not target minors or be directed to audiences primarily composed of minors.

2. User-Hosted Events

Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, After Dark Society is not the host, promoter, sponsor, producer, organizer, venue operator, security provider, transportation provider, payment processor, ticket seller, or insurer for user-created events.

Event hosts are solely responsible for the events they create, list, promote, manage, or host, including compliance with law, venue rules, safety requirements, attendee communications, event accuracy, refunds, cancellations, admission decisions, permits, licenses, insurance, taxes, security, accessibility, and all other event-related obligations.

After Dark Society may provide technology that allows users to discover, list, discuss, RSVP to, or communicate about events, but we do not control offline conduct.

3. Host Responsibilities

If you create, list, promote, manage, or host an event through the Platform, you must:

  • provide accurate and complete event information;
  • identify the event location, date, time, admission requirements, costs, age restrictions, privacy status, and any material rules or restrictions;
  • update the listing if event details change;
  • cancel or modify the event if it cannot be lawfully or safely held;
  • comply with all laws, regulations, orders, venue rules, permit requirements, alcohol rules, safety rules, occupancy limits, and accessibility requirements that apply;
  • ensure that the event is not used for trafficking, exploitation, prostitution, escorting, illegal sexual services, nonconsensual activity, harassment, fraud, or other illegal activity;
  • respond to attendee questions and concerns in a reasonable manner;
  • respect attendee privacy, consent, and safety;
  • promptly report serious safety, legal, trafficking, exploitation, child-safety, nonconsensual-content, or policy concerns to After Dark Society; and
  • comply with the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, these Event Rules, and all other applicable Platform policies.

4. Accurate Event Listings

Event listings must be truthful and not misleading.

You must not misrepresent:

  • who is hosting the event;
  • whether After Dark Society sponsors, endorses, produces, controls, or operates the event;
  • the event location;
  • the event date or time;
  • whether the event is public or private;
  • the cost of attendance;
  • ticketing or admission requirements;
  • refund or cancellation terms;
  • safety measures;
  • attendance limits;
  • alcohol, substance, dress-code, photography, privacy, or conduct rules;
  • performer, speaker, guest, host, or celebrity attendance;
  • expected sexual activity or availability of sexual activity;
  • accessibility;
  • venue approval;
  • permits or licenses;
  • whether the event is lawful; or
  • any other material event information.

5. Prohibited Events and Event Activity

You must not create, list, promote, host, attend, or use an event for:

  • minors;
  • child sexual abuse or exploitation;
  • trafficking or exploitation;
  • coercion;
  • forced sexual activity;
  • prostitution;
  • escorting;
  • illegal sexual services;
  • illegal commercial sex acts;
  • nonconsensual sexual activity;
  • sexual assault;
  • harassment;
  • stalking;
  • threats;
  • violence;
  • hate or extremist activity;
  • illegal drugs;
  • illegal weapons;
  • fraud;
  • scams;
  • illegal gambling;
  • unlawful recording or surveillance;
  • privacy violations;
  • doxing;
  • blackmail;
  • extortion;
  • sextortion;
  • distribution of nonconsensual intimate content;
  • infringement of intellectual-property rights;
  • evasion of Platform policies;
  • unlawful sale of alcohol or controlled substances;
  • unsafe overcrowding;
  • illegal public sexual activity; or
  • any activity that violates law, venue rules, Platform policy, payment-processor rules, card-network rules, app-store rules, or these Event Rules.

6. Adult Content and Sexual Activity

The Platform may allow adult-oriented event listings where lawful and permitted by Platform policy.

However, event listings must not advertise, solicit, arrange, facilitate, or imply prostitution, escorting, illegal sexual services, trafficking, coercion, nonconsensual activity, or paid sexual activity.

Event hosts must not state or imply that attendees are guaranteed sexual activity, romantic activity, dates, matches, intimacy, relationships, or any specific interaction with another person.

Any sexual activity between adults must be lawful and consensual. The Platform must not be used to pressure, coerce, deceive, or exploit any person.

7. Consent, Privacy, and Recording

Event hosts and attendees must respect consent and privacy.

You must not photograph, record, livestream, post, tag, identify, expose, or share another person’s image, likeness, voice, body, private information, or intimate activity without all required consent and legal authorization.

You must not upload or share content from an event if the content violates the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Nonconsensual Intimate Content Policy, Takedown and Appeals Policy, or applicable law.

Event hosts should clearly state any event-specific photography, recording, privacy, or phone-use rules before or at the event.

8. Event Communications

Event-related communications must comply with Platform policies.

You must not use event messages, comments, invitations, group discussions, external links, ticketing pages, payment requests, or off-platform communications to evade the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, these Event Rules, or law.

Event hosts must not send spam, misleading invitations, unlawful marketing messages, harassment, threats, or deceptive event promotions.

9. Admission, RSVPs, and Attendance

An RSVP, invitation, event listing, or Platform interaction does not guarantee admission to an event.

Event hosts may set lawful admission requirements, capacity limits, safety rules, privacy rules, or guest-list requirements.

Event hosts must not apply admission rules in a discriminatory, deceptive, unsafe, unlawful, or exploitative manner.

Attendees are responsible for deciding whether to attend an event and for complying with event rules, venue rules, law, and Platform policy.

10. Event Payments, Tickets, Refunds, and Cancellations

Unless After Dark Society expressly provides ticketing or payment functionality for a specific event, After Dark Society is not responsible for event ticketing, admission fees, refunds, cancellations, deposits, no-shows, chargebacks, vendor payments, venue fees, or event-related transactions.

Event hosts are responsible for clearly disclosing event costs, payment terms, refund terms, cancellation terms, and admission requirements.

Users should use caution before sending money, deposits, gifts, travel funds, or other payments to event hosts or attendees.

Do not use event payments to facilitate illegal activity, prostitution, escorting, trafficking, exploitation, fraud, money laundering, or illegal sexual services.

11. Safety and Offline Risk

After Dark Society does not guarantee the identity, background, intentions, conduct, safety, lawfulness, or suitability of any event host, attendee, venue, vendor, performer, or third party.

You are responsible for your own safety when creating, hosting, joining, attending, or traveling to an event.

Consider taking precautions such as:

  • reviewing event details carefully;
  • confirming the event location and host;
  • arranging your own transportation;
  • telling a trusted person where you are going;
  • keeping your phone charged;
  • meeting in public or controlled environments when appropriate;
  • avoiding unsafe locations;
  • avoiding excessive alcohol or substances;
  • respecting boundaries;
  • leaving if you feel unsafe; and
  • contacting emergency services if you or another person is in immediate danger.

12. Location and Privacy

Event listings may disclose or imply location information.

Event hosts should not disclose private addresses, precise locations, attendee lists, entry instructions, or other sensitive event information unless appropriate and lawful.

Users should use caution when posting about event attendance, travel plans, location, photos, videos, or identifying information.

After Dark Society may remove, restrict, or limit event listings or content that creates privacy, stalking, harassment, doxing, trafficking, exploitation, or safety risks.

13. Event Reports

You may report event listings, hosts, attendees, messages, groups, comments, or event-related conduct that you believe violates law or Platform policy.

You may report through Platform tools where available or by contacting:

support@afterdarksociety.com

Use the subject line “Event Safety Report” if the issue involves safety, consent, trafficking, exploitation, coercion, threats, harassment, nonconsensual content, minors, illegal sexual activity, or immediate concern.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services first.

14. Platform Review and Enforcement

After Dark Society may review event listings, event content, messages, groups, reports, RSVPs, metadata, account information, and related activity for compliance with law and Platform policy.

We may take any action we consider appropriate, including:

  • editing, restricting, or removing event listings;
  • disabling event features;
  • cancelling or delisting events from the Platform;
  • restricting comments, messages, or groups;
  • requiring changes to event descriptions or images;
  • requiring age or identity verification;
  • warning, suspending, or terminating accounts;
  • preserving records;
  • reporting to law enforcement, NCMEC, regulators, payment processors, card networks, app stores, or other appropriate entities; and
  • taking any other action required or permitted by law or Platform policy.

15. No Endorsement

An event appearing on the Platform does not mean that After Dark Society endorses, sponsors, verifies, approves, supervises, controls, or guarantees the event, host, attendees, venue, safety measures, claims, legality, or quality of the event.

Badges, RSVPs, invitations, event visibility, search results, recommendations, or Platform promotion do not create an endorsement or guarantee.

16. Cooperation With Authorities and Third Parties

We may preserve or disclose event-related information where required or permitted by law, legal process, safety concerns, law enforcement, child-safety obligations, anti-trafficking obligations, payment-processor requirements, card-network requirements, app-store requirements, regulator requests, or Platform policy.

We may cooperate with law enforcement, regulators, NCMEC, safety organizations, payment processors, card networks, app stores, venues, vendors, or other appropriate entities where required or appropriate.

17. Relationship to Other Policies

These Event Rules do not replace the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Safety Center, Takedown and Appeals Policy, Nonconsensual Intimate Content Policy, Child Safety Standards, Anti-Trafficking and Exploitation Policy, Privacy Policy, DMCA and Copyright Policy, or other Platform policies.

If an event issue also involves nonconsensual intimate content, child safety, trafficking, coercion, copyright infringement, privacy violations, harassment, fraud, billing, or other concerns, we may process the matter under one or more applicable policies.

18. Changes to These Event Rules

We may update these Event Rules from time to time.

When we make material changes, we may notify users by posting the updated rules, updating the “Last updated” date, sending an email, providing an in-platform notice, using a click-through notice, or using another method reasonably designed to notify affected users.

Your continued use of the Platform after updated Event Rules become effective means you acknowledge the updated Event Rules.
