Child Safety Standards

These Child Safety Standards explain After Dark Society, LLC’s rules, standards, and enforcement practices relating to child sexual abuse and exploitation, child sexual abuse material, child safety, and minor access.

These Child Safety Standards apply to AfterDarkSociety.com, the AfterDark Society mobile applications, and any related websites, applications, communities, messaging tools, features, and services that link to these standards. In these standards, we refer to those services collectively as the “Platform.”

The Platform is operated by After Dark Society, LLC (“After Dark Society,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

The Platform is an adult-only platform. Minors are not permitted to create accounts, access the Platform, use the Platform, appear in adult content, or participate in Platform features.

These Child Safety Standards are part of our Terms of Service and apply in addition to our Community Guidelines, Takedown and Appeals Policy, Nonconsensual Intimate Content Policy, Privacy Policy, 18 U.S.C. §§ 2257–2257A Record-Keeping Compliance Statement, Anti-Trafficking and Exploitation Policy, DMCA and Copyright Policy, and other applicable Platform policies.

1. Zero-Tolerance Standard

After Dark Society has a zero-tolerance standard for child sexual abuse and exploitation.

You must not use the Platform to upload, post, send, request, solicit, promote, distribute, store, link to, discuss, facilitate, encourage, normalize, or otherwise make available child sexual abuse material, child sexual exploitation material, or any sexual, nude, intimate, exploitative, abusive, or suggestive content involving a minor.

This prohibition applies to content, profiles, messages, usernames, biographies, captions, comments, groups, events, links, images, videos, stories, screenshots, AI-generated content, digitally altered content, synthetic content, deepfakes, face-swapped content, cartoons, animations, illustrations, fantasy content, roleplay content, and any other Platform activity.

2. Adult-Only Access

The Platform is intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old.

You must not:

• create an account if you are under 18;
• allow a minor to use your account;
• create an account for a minor;
• help a minor access the Platform;
• evade age verification;
• submit false age or identity information;
• use another person’s verification documents;
• misrepresent your age;
• contact a minor through the Platform;
• solicit a minor to use the Platform;
• invite a minor to a Platform group or event;
• communicate sexually with a minor; or
• use the Platform if you are not legally permitted to access adult-oriented content or services in your jurisdiction.

If we determine or suspect that a user is under 18, we may restrict, suspend, or terminate the account and take any other action required or permitted by law.

3. Prohibited Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Content

The following are strictly prohibited:

• child sexual abuse material;
• child sexual exploitation material;
• sexualized images or videos of minors;
• nude, intimate, explicit, or sexually suggestive depictions of minors;
• content depicting, appearing to depict, or suggesting sexual activity involving a minor;
• content involving grooming, enticement, sextortion, coercion, exploitation, trafficking, or abuse of a minor;
• sexual conversations with or about minors;
• requests for sexual content involving minors;
• offers to buy, sell, trade, obtain, distribute, preserve, or access sexual content involving minors;
• links, references, coded language, hashtags, usernames, or off-platform directions relating to child sexual abuse or exploitation;
• sexualized age-play involving minors or minor-coded persons;
• fantasy, fictional, cartoon, animated, AI-generated, digitally altered, deepfake, synthetic, or roleplay sexual content involving minors or minor-presenting persons;
• content that sexualizes school settings, childlike characteristics, childlike clothing, toys, or minor-coded themes;
• content praising, normalizing, defending, encouraging, or minimizing child sexual abuse or exploitation;
• instructions for avoiding detection of child sexual abuse or exploitation content; and
• any content or conduct that we determine creates a child-safety risk.

4. No Minor-Generated or Minor-Depicting Adult Content

You must not upload, post, send, store, or otherwise make available adult content involving any person who was under 18 when the content was created.

This rule applies even if the person is now an adult.

This rule applies regardless of whether the content was self-produced, consensually created, privately shared, publicly available elsewhere, edited, cropped, reposted, or obtained from another source.

5. Reporting Child Safety Concerns

You may report child safety concerns through the Platform’s reporting tools where available.

If your report involves immediate danger, contact emergency services first.

If your report involves suspected child sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse material, grooming, enticement, sextortion, trafficking, or abuse, say so clearly in your report.

6. Information to Include in a Report

To help us review a child safety report, include as much of the following information as possible:

• the username, profile, post, message, group, event, URL, screenshot, date, or other information identifying the content or account;
• a description of the concern;
• whether the concern involves a minor or a person who may be a minor;
• whether the content involves nudity, sexual conduct, exploitation, grooming, threats, trafficking, coercion, sextortion, or abuse;
• whether immediate danger may exist;
• whether you are the person depicted, a parent, guardian, representative, mandated reporter, law-enforcement contact, or other reporter;
• any relevant context; and
• your contact information, if you are willing to provide it.

Do not send us child sexual abuse material unless we specifically request information through a lawful and secure process. Instead, provide information that helps us locate the material on the Platform.

7. Our Response to Child Safety Reports

When we receive or identify a child safety concern, we may take immediate action.

Depending on the circumstances, we may:

• remove or disable access to content;
• restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts;
• disable messaging, uploads, groups, events, or other features;
• preserve content, account information, messages, metadata, verification records, and related records;
• review related accounts, uploads, messages, groups, events, or patterns of activity;
• use automated tools, hash-matching tools, human review, user reports, vendor support, or legal review;
• report to NCMEC;
• report to law enforcement;
• cooperate with law enforcement, regulators, app stores, payment processors, card networks, safety organizations, and other appropriate entities;
• block reuploads or known copies where feasible;
• notify affected persons where appropriate and safe; and
• take any other action required or permitted by law or Platform policy.

8. Reporting to NCMEC and Law Enforcement

If we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material or other reportable child sexual exploitation activity, we may report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s CyberTipline, law enforcement, or other appropriate authorities as required or permitted by law.

We may preserve and provide information associated with a report, including content, account information, communications, metadata, technical information, verification information, and other relevant records.

9. Age and Identity Verification

We may require users to complete age verification, identity verification, liveness checks, document review, creator-status review, consent-form submission, or other compliance checks before or after accessing features, uploading content, appearing in content, or continuing to use the Platform.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account if verification fails, is incomplete, is suspicious, appears false, is inconsistent, or cannot establish that the user is at least 18.

We may also restrict or remove content if we cannot verify that each depicted person was at least 18 when the content was created.

10. Grooming, Enticement, and Sextortion

You must not use the Platform to groom, entice, manipulate, coerce, threaten, blackmail, exploit, or sexually extort a minor.

You must not:

• ask a minor for sexual images, videos, messages, or conduct;
• send sexual content to a minor;
• request that a minor move to another platform for sexual communication;
• ask a minor to keep communications secret;
• pressure, threaten, or manipulate a minor;
• use gifts, payments, subscriptions, rewards, event invitations, travel, housing, or employment offers to exploit a minor;
• threaten to expose images, messages, secrets, or personal information of a minor;
• impersonate a minor or adult to exploit a minor; or
• facilitate another person’s exploitation of a minor.

11. Trafficking and Exploitation of Minors

You must not use the Platform to recruit, transport, advertise, solicit, exploit, traffic, or facilitate abuse of a minor.

You must not use profiles, groups, events, private messages, posts, external links, coded language, payment references, gifts, travel arrangements, job offers, modeling offers, creator opportunities, or other activity to exploit or attempt to exploit a minor.

Reports involving suspected trafficking or exploitation of a minor may be escalated to law enforcement, NCMEC, anti-trafficking organizations, payment processors, app stores, or other appropriate entities.

12. Synthetic, AI-Generated, and Digitally Altered Content Involving Minors

You must not create, upload, post, send, store, distribute, request, solicit, or promote AI-generated, synthetic, manipulated, deepfake, face-swapped, digitally altered, cartoon, animated, illustrated, or fictional content that sexualizes a minor or minor-presenting person.

This prohibition applies even if the content does not depict a real child.

This prohibition applies to prompts, captions, links, requests, roleplay, fantasy content, usernames, hashtags, comments, messages, and any other Platform activity.

13. Reuploads and Evasion

You must not attempt to reupload, repost, share, link to, preserve, trade, or redistribute content removed under these Child Safety Standards.

You must not evade detection or enforcement by altering, cropping, compressing, mirroring, filtering, watermarking, screen-recording, renaming, encoding, using coded terms, or moving activity to another account or feature.

14. Account Enforcement

Violating these Child Safety Standards may result in immediate and permanent account termination.

We may also take additional enforcement action, including:

• removal of content;
• restriction of features;
• disabling of messages;
• disabling of uploads;
• disabling of groups or events;
• revocation of creator status;
• preservation of records;
• reporting to NCMEC;
• reporting to law enforcement;
• reporting to regulators;
• reporting to payment processors, card networks, app stores, or vendors;
• blocking of accounts, devices, payment methods, or identifiers; and
• any other action required or permitted by law.

15. Appeals

Because child safety matters involve serious legal and safety risks, we may remove content or restrict accounts immediately.

A user may appeal a child-safety enforcement decision if we make an appeal available or if applicable law requires an appeal process.

An appeal must include:

• the username or account email;
• the content or decision being appealed;
• the reason the user believes the decision was incorrect;
• any supporting documentation; and
• a statement that the information submitted is accurate.

We may deny an appeal if restoration would violate law, create a child-safety risk, violate Platform policy, violate payment-processor rules, violate card-network rules, violate app-store rules, interfere with law enforcement, or otherwise create unacceptable legal, safety, or compliance risk.

17. In-App Reporting

Where available, users may use in-app or in-platform reporting tools to report profiles, posts, messages, groups, events, comments, media, or other activity that may violate these Child Safety Standards.

Reports submitted through in-app or in-platform tools may be reviewed by automated systems, human reviewers, trust-and-safety personnel, vendors, or legal personnel.

18. Relationship to Other Policies

These Child Safety Standards do not replace the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Takedown and Appeals Policy, Nonconsensual Intimate Content Policy, Anti-Trafficking and Exploitation Policy, DMCA and Copyright Policy, 18 U.S.C. §§ 2257–2257A Record-Keeping Compliance Statement, or Privacy Policy.

If a child safety issue also involves nonconsensual intimate content, trafficking, coercion, copyright infringement, privacy violations, impersonation, harassment, or other policy issues, we may process the matter under one or more applicable policies.

19. Changes to These Standards

We may update these Child Safety Standards from time to time.

When we make material changes, we may notify users by posting the updated standards, updating the “Last updated” date, sending an email, providing an in-platform notice, using a click-through notice, or using another method reasonably designed to notify affected users.

Your continued use of the Platform after updated standards become effective means you acknowledge the updated standards.
